What we offer you is a warm and comfortable base from which to explore the splendour outdoors or alternatively a place to simply retreat into and relax.   Our properties have been awarded a strong three stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Each bothy has been charmingly converted from the original stone built dwelling and now combines modern amenities with the character of the original building, including beamed ceiling and open log fires. Outside the door are forest pathways to take you through beautiful woodland and riverside walks where you might even see squirrels, otters, hares, deer, stoats, buzzards and, in the summer months, ospreys.

The forest setting and rural seclusion belie the fact that the bothies are situated just five miles away from the bustling shopping town of Forres adjacent to the Moray Firth with lovely sandy beaches, cliffs and caves and coastal paths.  On the coast there is dolphin watching, watersports. Locally there's pony trekking, fishing and golf. Less energetically there's also the castle trail and museums to enjoy throughout the area.

The Mains of Sluie is situated within the Earl of Moray historic estate-lands of Darnaway. Close by are the castle estates of Logie, Altyre and Cawdor which makes this area of the Highlands the ideal location from which to research family ancetsral roots. It is easily accessable by car, train and plane - Forres station is a five minutes drive away, Inverness Airport is a forty minute drive away.
